Spring and Summer Style 2012

The trends for this spring are really fun and I love that they are pulling for so many different decades. I can see the 50′s, 60′s , and 80′s all taking part in the colors, cuts, and influencing this spring and summer season. I love the polka dot dress that really brings in the 50′s and 60′s. All the bright and neon colors are so 80′s and it is so scary that I can “remember when we wore them”. The color block trend has been around for a while; the 60’s were when it made a big splash and we are now seeing it come back big again. I personally love all the lace being used in less conventional ways.

The summer trends are an extension of those introduced in the spring. I added black and white, animal print, and floral. As new trends are introduced I will add them. Check back often as I update the photos regularly. You can also follow me on Pinterest to have a current update of fun trends I find on the Internet while researching.

I know the items that I am going to look for this season are a slim lace skirt in a fun color, a polka dot over-sized shirt or dress, bright pink jeans and a color blocked shoe. I don’t think I will do neon unless it is just an accent item; purse, scarf or maybe a tank. Check out the photos below to get an idea of this season’s trends.
